Learn to make your own Bizen inspired Ikebana Vase with Ido Ferber

This is a short, one day workshop comprising throwing skills based on Bizen Yaki style Ikebana vases. We’ll work together to understand the basics of Bizen ware, where it comes from and what the important features are to keep in mind whilst throwing. This is a very intuitive kind of vase throwing. Learning to work from your gut feeling rather than the head and learning how to make good mistakes.

This workshop is great to let steam off and try your hand at very expressive, free flowing forms that convey feeling over mind.

This includes all materials, plus firing of your pieces, which would be ready to collect in around 4-5 weeks.
